Festival for the Narragansett Athletic Complex

This festival will be a fun filled day of Round-Robin sports competitions made up of teams from our community. This is you chance to gather your friends to make a basketball, soccer, or flag football team, to compete for prizes and the chance to be the Tournament champion in your sport at the first ever community field day.

The cost to make a student team is $10 per person (ages 14 - 19 only) and adult teams are only $25 per person (ages 20+).

Each person signed up by 5/17/12 will receive a free t-shirt to match the color of your team. There is no limit to team sizes. Basketball games will be played in the gym at NHS (5 vs. 5), and soccer (6 vs. 6) and flag football (6 vs. 6) will be played on the NHS fields.

The Festival area will also include a FREE children’s area with an inflatable obstacle course, dunk tank, wii dance area, parachute games, face painting and more.

A Live DJ and delicious barbecue will add to the festival atmosphere.

If you are not able to field a team, please consider being a t-shirt sponsor, or donating a prize. For $150 your business name will be displayed on the back of all festival shirts, and for $250 your business name and logo will be displayed in large font on all festival shirts. For only $50, businesses are welcome to set up a vendor table in the festival area.

The festival is a fundraiser to launch a large-scale Capital Fundraising campaign to generate funds for thenew Athletic Complex at Narragansett High School, which will include a synthetic turf field, lights, new track with field event areas, new bleachers to seat 1000 people, and a restroom and concession area.

RI State Referee Committee Announces Referee Fee Increase

We have received word from the Rhode Island State Referee Committee that effective next season (2011-2012), all leagues with a 3 man referee system will pay $80.00 per middle and $40.00 per linesman, for a total of $160.00 per game. (Generally split between the teams, $80 each team.)
