US Club Soccer believes an important aspect of player development is offering the right competitions for the right age groups. Players need the opportunity to test themselves against other quality players at or just above their own competitive level in order to help them develop both their technical and tactical sophistication. We strive to provide our members with competitions that foster player growth.
Our signature competition, The National Cup, is contested by U11-U17 boys and girls in two competitive divisions. The two-division format attempts to ensure all National Cup matches are tightly contested and bring out the best in every player.
State Cups are also among US Club Soccer’s offerings. Hosted by member clubs and leagues, the US Club Soccer State Cup seeks to provide an alternative to the current "state cup" in appropriate states and regions. Highlights of the US Club Soccer State Cup include different levels of competition, flexible roster rules, and a schedule and format that are designed in consultation with the member clubs.
Easter weekend 2006 marked the inaugural Champions Cup competition at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Fla. The Champions Cup brings together some of the top clubs in the country to compete in three age groups for the title of the best boys or girls’ club in the United States.
In the fall of 2006, US Club Soccer unveiled an event for U8-U13 boys and girls' teams across the country. The Youth World Series provides an introductory level, high quality, tournament to develop an affinity for US Club Soccer with parents and players, at an early age.
In addition to our own competitions, we offer our members a Tournament Sanctioning Program. US Club Soccer’s tournament sanctioning program allows both US Club Soccer teams and teams registered with other US Soccer Federation affiliates to participate in a competition. The program also allows US Club Soccer members to tailor their tournament to meet their competitive needs with no travel permissions required for US Club Soccer members and offers tournament insurance for both US Club Soccer members and non-members.
